john walked by and said, you guys don't leave your seats enough. he's absolutely right. we act like we're chained down. the company has us believing we are small and unimportant. misery loves company. i went and played some fuseball with john. just to get up and stretch from this computer screen. its making my eyes go blind. he killed me, 5 to one. but i was completely rusty, and didn't really know the whole extent of the rules.

today was rosemary's birthday. i downloaded tons of songs that she requested, and played them for her. isn't that nice? her husband sent in a dozen roses (of course!) which sit at our table.

eric is working hard as usual. wai-man is goofin' off, playing rap videos that he found on the internet. blasting and all ...

wai- man intrigues me. he's totally into american culture, and his concept of it, at least. which is like a little strange, he loves aerosmith and metallica. i think to myself, hey, he's like me when i was in 9th grade (those were my favorite's back then, too) but he's 24, just like me...

and then there was this guy at the studio i met named seng-yup cha (korean fellow) and he was so interesting, i've rarely met such a sensitive, shy, apologetic fellow. yet at the same time he's got a strong sense of self, and makes crazy amazing sculptures. they are combinations of random objects, wood lathed and glued - and when a spotlight is shined on them from the right angle, the shadow makes the image of a greco roman type bust in profile. i was shii-it that's pretty cool.

then there's this guy frank vaders, a german guy that's living in a hostel in china town, and painting as much as he can. he has a wife and child in germany, and he's like 36, but he'd rather work here in ny where all the "excitement" is. he's wild. already he's cleaned the much needed disgusting community bathroom, and put assorted colored plastic on the hallway lights, for this crazy rainbow tunnel effect.

a nice guy, as i said, just paints women, naked women. nothing but...

and then there's the 'freestyle family'. i don't even want to go on... they're crazy.

what else? there will be open studios in May, as part of a neighborhood arts fest, and im totally consumed with plans of what i'm going to do. Yay.
