the comments keep rolling in about my grandfather's old hat. i don't know how long i can keep it up, before i decide i'm being superficial and decide to stop wearing it.

and oh you should've been there, kelli: i was at a club, and i had a long conversation with the coat check woman, who wanted to know all about the scarf you gave me. so i explained how i had this wonderful friend who knew how to make cool things, and she replied that it was a very handsome job of sewing. then she revealed that she a was a bit of a knitter herself. she knit with one needle, while she was reading. it was a way to relax, you know? i confirmed that yes, we all need that time to ourselves. such was the extent of the scarf conversation.
