yesterday i went with kelli and my dad to the number 9 coal mine museum in coaldale, which was literally a few hundred feet from where he (dad) grew up, and the place that the entire town went to work. it was an amazing place of stories; the longest and deepest anthracite mine in the world.

the people were proud of this heritage, and created the museum with just volunteer efforts of the community and old timers who at one time had worked in these mines.

once we arose out from the depths of the belly of the earth, there was a picnic with the cheapest halupnics and bean soup you ever seen, and a karoake/casio keyboard entertainment troup. the guy singer was great, making me actually enjoy jimmy buffet. i mean in a really bad but sparky kind of good way. kelli and i were excited to hear the woman's version of blondie, but she was having a little technical difficulties at that point.

breakfast is served at the www.docksidebed.com , so i guess its time to take a break for a while.

sorry i only write when i go to pennsylvania, its the best computer time i get ....

cheers.
