Chat!

2001-06-24

there was one call tonight. as i woke up with drool on my chin (as i had silently predicted there would be right before i fell asleep), i found the phone cord was somehow out of the socket. As i wrestled with it in my grogginess, the call was re-qued.

this means i lose my monthly bonus. This means i'm 250 dollars the poorer.

5 seconds later, my co-worker picks up the call. it is dennis, the lobby-man, calling to tell him that his car is getting a ticket.

grrrrrrrrr.

so it happens that today is the gay pride parade, and that hardie's car is just a victim in the path of that great, rainbow colored march. and my bonus is also a victim. i don't think the management here is going to lend an understanding ear to my plea for my extra money.

its not like i don't Need the cash or anything! jeez. these fuckers.

also, now i'm awake, thanks to that call. after getting a whole one hour of sleep. in the old days, i could get 7 hours of sleep at work, and talk to some friends long - distance.

this job is becoming more trouble than its worth.

Kelli is arriving in new york today, in oh, say, 5 hours. i've cleaned out half of the closet so that she can put her clothes there. I know she wants to get her own apartment asap, but i also know how long that can end up taking in this city.

we will go biking and swimming, and dancing, moseying, and looking at the world through renewed eyes, and stuff.

we will also eat out a bit at nice, fancy restauraunts. and we might go on a cross-country trip.

the Space is rockin these days. there are parties there where we are trying to draw the PS1 crowd on saturday nights. We are going to project old movies onto this huge wall of this warehouse outdoors when its nice ... and convert this one huge room into a fancy ballroom with bands, dj's, a bar, bouncer. I'm in charge of the theatre, somehow. and i get to do anything i want with it. There are also painters and sculptors, and a room called the 'information exchange'. yikes!

haven't been home in days. and when i am there, its not for long. yesterday i was sleeping at the studio and there was this amazing thunderstorm that really spooked Baby, the cat. She was so happy to have me awake and petting her.

oh, this i found to be an interesting site. Eric 'specially would like it.

anyway. its off to leave this horrid place behind and think of other thoughts, and enjoy this sunday.

thanks to cindy who works at wal*mart, for calling me on her break all the way from the Rockies.
