below is a recent email to eric. translation? im lazy and short of time, but dedicated to the cause of a new entry:

hey eric its great to see that ivy.net is back. up. your newest two diary land entries were worth the wait. i laught out loud. enjoyd immensly. they are pure you, filtrated down and simply put. no strings attached. very guut. your wordplay is still in high command of you. and you of it.

what else? well, im at work, and the whistles are blowing, things are crashing, running amok. i played nates pokemon on nintendo Game Boy all yesterday, and all the past few weeks in fact. till i see how obvious the similarities are, metaphors that the epic game has for life. we advance in levels. we gain experience. whatever path we choose (whatever pokemon we choose to play) -- we grow into that path.

Melissa the art teacher said that pokemon reflects japanese culture. when she visited the ancient temples and saw thousands of sculptures of all the gods, the spirits of the water, and the earth, of each river, tree, cloud, etc. The various poke mon are these same spirits.

i've been thinking and existing both. hou bowt you?

love

david
