ok pray to the diary gods that this one doesn't disappear into the mists of abalon, or wherever lost entries go that don't get saved on labtop computers with funny mouse/finger tap sensors.

i am in kelli's abode. Kelli is at la guardia airport, not more than a mile away (or so). She is leaving for Hawaii this morning, about to board the gate and be gone for the week. so i think, hell, im up, might as well do some email a n d stuff.

update.:

eric came to visit the Open Studios in Long Island City, all the way from Pennsylvania, further still from his beloved Chicago. and i couldn't be more happier. Course in the confusion and anticipation of merriment, certain keys were locked inside of certain cars, and we spent time and money (precious both) getting the car opened again by a fix it weegey guy.

aah, but that was only the beginning, we had a good time, for the 3 or 4 hours eric was in town. of course, having a baby can put limitations on your crazy excursions. Much love to E.

and then i had a car. and i went to Philadelphia with beloved in tow. and we met my family at a cousins highschool graduation party. and then the car eventually started giving warning signs in Allentown. and i smartly waited till morning to leave instead of night, which is good since it took over 8 hours to get the car to the place where it sits still, some 3 weeks later. we stopped in new jersey for gas, and realized that the car was burning gas faster than normal, so that we filled it up twice in one day. and then we couldn't get the car to move out of the gas station (this had happened a time previous, this exact same senario, only two weeks before). so the mechanic looked at it, the third mechanic in 3 weeks. and we hung out in the grass on a strip exit from route 78 eastbound in New Jersey, for about an hour or so. and then the mechanic said, well, there are about ten things wrong, that i can see from here. its basically a ford engine in... what is this, a british, a german?, a German car. Never was really built well, these were never really good cars. Despite the fact that it has only 80,000 miles on it, i would advise you to get rid of it immediately.

he charged $275 for a new fuel injection valve, and the advise. by the time i got halfway to yonkers, (after an unsure sputtering across the packed traffic jammed George Washington upper expressway) the car was smoking and sputtering again.

well, i barely made it back down through manhattan to drop off kelli. the car was a lurching fireball by the time i was passing the 59th street bridge into Queens. the guys at the phunphactory are wondering just how long the car will sit there.

im waiting for the title to arrive in the mail in order to have it towed to a scrapyard. the title from when i got the car. only 1 month ago.

also, we can click back a few weeks ago, to the first mechanic i took it to, an old greek guy named george, with hand painted signs all over his garage of all the great personable honest work they do. and he told me it was a big job, but he could get it inspected and tuned up.

and the week later when the hood broke at the gas station, and the battery died, simultaneously, rendering the car unjumpable and unmovable.

ahh yes, i 've become the person i hate the most, the person who rants about one thing for far too long.

any way, i've decided i like my beloved bicycle. ill stick to the simple ways. of course, i'm not sure where it is at this moment... i thought it was locked up in my studio.
