welcome 'kerlin' to dland. im sure it will give oh such an outlet to let go and let your hair down after all that studyin, babyin, and wifin'. (in that order)

oh, its good to see dandrews is doing yoga. i say, go andrews! don't stop with just a few visits like i always seem to do. make it a lifestyle.

also: im sorry i never write any more. but yeah well, things are in a different groove now.

this past week i worked at the international center of photography, helping to paint the walls and install a show. it was good. i liked it, for the most part, mostly because i knew the whole time that i wasn't going to be there in two weeks time. i wasn't trapped in a particular place. this is the freelancer.

and i was just thinking i should thank emily, because if she hadn't told me that i was spending too much time in her house, i would have never gone to starbucks with the labtop to do my resumes. and if i never arrived at starbucks, i would have never met kenny, diane, and louise, who got me the Hudson River job, which led to the huge Whitney Biennial project with light artist Erwin Redl, which gave me the experience and assuredness to have a good meeting with the guy at the Center of Photography. it really all leads into each other. and the great thing is, that even though i needed to write my resume in order to start this chain of employments, i didn't have to send it to anyone.

Kelli is off at work, and im about to go to the studio to have a good day of work. May is coming, and that is the big open studios.

this woman sat down on the train to me in Astoria the other day, and started by commenting on the weather, and then going into her whole life story. so that in 4 stops, i had heard of her travails as a medical student, moving from iran, and the fashion store she was opening on broadway. I promised i would visit it when it was open.

its spring! too bad last night was the coldest freaking night ever. kelli and i went to the Met and looked at some amazing ceramics and photos before they kicked us out. uuum what else? my parents visited last week, and that was a trip.

much love to everybody. ----- oh, addition! here are images from the Erwin Redl Whitney project. it is 12000 LED's P A I N S T A K I N G L Y hung onto the facade of the Whitney Museum, 75th and Madison. Go there and see it till the end of May. and that's it. just a little taste of what i've been up to. see you later, yo.
